If you are looking for a comprehensive and affordable halal grocery run in south Stockholm, I recommend checking out Prisma Skärholmen. You can find it at Skärholmsgången 22, right near the southern T-bana exit at Skärholmstorget. Their motto is “all the world’s food at the right price,” and they really deliver on that for families and halal-conscious shoppers.

1. The Halal Meat Counter
What keeps me coming back is their manual butcher counter. They offer a great range of fresh halal-slaughtered beef and lamb cuts. Unlike standard supermarkets that only sell pre-packaged items, I can ask the butcher for specific cuts and quantities here, which makes weekly meal prepping much easier.

2. Frozen Foods and Pantry Staples
Beyond the butcher, we stock up on affordable frozen proteins here, like chicken nuggets, minced beef, tilapia, pangasius, and shrimp. The rice aisle is one of the best I’ve seen in Stockholm—they have basmati and jasmine rice in huge sacks and smaller bags depending on what you need.

3. Fresh Produce and Snacks
Their fresh fruit and vegetable section is well-stocked and changes with the seasons. If we need a quick lunch, we grab a grilled chicken from the ready-to-eat corner for about 60 SEK. The snack aisle is also packed with classics like Marabou, Kex, Chiki Estrella, and Owl biscuits.

4. How to Get There from T-Centralen
It is very easy to get here. I take the Red Line 13 from T-Centralen towards Norsborg. The ride takes about 22 minutes (for example, the 08:38 train gets in at 09:01). A single ticket is 43 SEK, or 26 SEK if you qualify for the reduced fare.
