Living abroad hits differently when you crave food from home—not a restaurant version, but the actual stuff. The Indomie you make at 11 PM, the bumbu racik your mother keeps in every drawer, and the Bango kecap that sat on your dining table growing up.

I found Ritorp Livs when I was deep in that mood, and it felt like a small miracle.

What’s Inside

The selection is impressive for a store this far from Indonesia. Everything is imported directly, so you get the actual product rather than a local approximation.

They stock:

  • Staples and pantry items: Indomie in multiple flavors, Pop Mie, Bango kecap, Bamboe and Bumbu Racik seasoning packets, Kara santan, Segitiga Biru flour, sambal pecel, and sambal bawang. It is the exact range you would find on a typical Indomaret run.
  • Snacks: Malkist, Indonesian Oreo varieties, Sukro, Kacang Atom, and Chiki.

Here is a price list of some popular items when I visited:

Produk Harga
Sambal Naknan 45 SEK
Indomie Goreng Original 10 SEK
Kecap Bango Refill 55 SEK
Malkist Abon 25 SEK
Sambal Pecel Karang Sari 30 SEK
Indomie Goreng Jumbo 14 SEK
Indomie Premium Collection 14 SEK
Indomie Export 6 SEK

Reading those familiar brand names on the packaging feels like a shortcut home without the 14-hour flight.

How to Get There from Central Stockholm

Ritorp Livs is located in Solna. It sounds out of the way, but getting there is straightforward.

Option 1: Pendeltåg + Bus
Take the pendeltåg toward Uppsala C or Märsta and get off at Ulriksdal station. From there, head to the bus stop and take bus 509. The very next stop is Ritorp; get off there and walk to the store.

Option 2: Walking from Ulriksdal
If you do not want to wait for the bus, you can walk directly from Ulriksdal station. It is a flat, 10-minute walk.

Check the SL app for current schedules before you go since bus timings can vary.

Combining the Trip with Mall of Scandinavia

The store is right next to Mall of Scandinavia, the largest mall in Stockholm. We usually combine both into one outing, walking between them or taking a quick bus ride. You can stock up on Indonesian groceries, then handle any other shopping you need at the mall.

Is It Worth the Trip?

Yes, especially if you have been missing home food. Finding Bamboe seasoning or Karang Sari sambal pecel in Stockholm is not something to take for granted. It is not walking distance from the city center, but the pendeltåg makes it manageable, and the store quickly became a regular stop for us.
